1. First, download and install the Microsoft outlook.com connector. You can get that there.

2. Open outlook 2010 and select the “File” menu. This will bring up the view below.

 

In the above view, choose to modify an existing account, or choose to add a new account. If you chose to add a new account, you will see the screen below and you should select “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” and then hit “Next”

“Next” takes you to the screen below where you should select “other” and highlight Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector.

Then click “Next” again which then takes you to this screen where you enter you credentials to your outlook.com / hotmail.com email account:
